Vera Wang had contracted a+i for the design and build out of several retail locations.  After working closely with our office on these ventures, Vera Wang appreciated a+i’s understanding of their brand and sensibility.  When the time came to look for new office space, a+i brought not only brand familiarity to the design, but also the experience of an extensive portfolio of corporate office interiors.

Vera Wang had previously been located on multiple discontinuous floors in multiple buildings in the Garment District; the bridal appointment suite was in Midtown.

The move to two contiguous floors, connected by a generous open stair, unified the company physically, visually, and culturally.

The space houses three major functions: reception and showrooms, production, and administrative offices. Minimal detailing, the use of translucency and transparency in glass, and a spare black and white palette extends the look and feel of the brand to the office itself.
