Silverstein, The Willow at 529 5th Avenue

New York, NY
3,500 Sq/Ft

Silverstein Properties engaged A+I to deliver brand repositioning and the architectural design of a dedicated amenity space with an outside terrace on the 9th Floor of 529 5th Avenue in Manhattan.

Located in the heart of Midtown, Silverstein Properties were committed to creating a hip, youthful identity and reinvigorate the building with vitality. They wanted a space that was high energy, community focused, interactive, and felt alive, and would resonate modern tenants.

It was most important that the amenity space had a balance of space to support both community and collaborative work. A ‘flexible, secondary place’ where people could work away from their desks - with the luxe comforts that they were accustomed to when working from home.

At 529 5th, the branding was tied to the history of the site. We named this space the “The Willow” inspired by the building’s historical connection to an old willow tree that was in front of the property in 1884, and a nod to Henry H. Tyson’s Fifth Avenue Market and the Willow Hotel, a landmark on 44th Street and 5th Avenue until 1905.

Through the INSPIRE app, tenants within the Silverstein Properties portfolio can access exclusive events and wellness amenities such as yoga classes.
