Kate Thatcher Offers Design and Strategy Insight on Bloomberg TV

The A+I CEO discussed return-to-office and hybrid workplace strategies for Bloomberg Markets’ The Close

On Wednesday, June 30th, A+I CEO Kate Thatcher appeared on Bloomberg TV to discuss the ways in which companies should consider their return-to-office strategies.

“The risks of really moving into a hybrid environment are not so much logistical or financial, but they are cultural - how to keep you employees connected, engaged; how to make sure your recruitment and retention stays up; and how to make sure teams and happy and collaborating in a really functional way,” Kate shared with anchor Caroline Hyde.

Kate recently shared some insight with Bloomberg Businessweek reporter Jennifer Surane around similar themes.

“Senior managers and executives tend to set the cultures at companies, and if they’re working all the time in person -- even if they’re not requiring all staff to -- it starts to drive the center of power and gravity right back to the office, leaving out those who take advantage of working from home,” Kate said. “Wherever those influential voices are is where the conversation is happening. That’s one thing that folks are trying to be cognizant of.”
